What made you decide to start your wave journey? I felt like having waves makes short hair an actual hairstyle, that’s why I began to take the waving journey seriously.
How did you prepare yourself for this new journey? Researched lots of seasoned wavers.
Did you have any fears or doubts about waving? If so, what were they? I wouldn’t say it’s a fear but the fact that it’s a male dominated realm sucks.
What are some hair products you use to keep those waves right? 360 Silk Pomade My Fluffy Puffs Wave Slime
How did you feel when you first started seeing progress? Like “AYYYEEE this is fun”! It also made me want to go harder to perfect my waves and become as elite as I could.
Has waving helped your self-confidence in any way? Yes, there’s nothing better than passing a guy or group of men and they comment how you are spinning.
Was/Is there anything significant about starting your wave journey? Did it symbolize anything to you? It symbolized the start of something that I would stick with, have patience with and became a hobby.
What is one thing you would tell a Wavy WMN who is just starting out on their wave journey? I would say “waves are a process, it’s a journey”. You don’t just wake up and have them (most times lol). Treat them the same way you would your long natural hair, your wig or weave…tender love and care are all waves need!
