How long have you been a Wavie for? 1.5 YEARS

Who or what inspired you to start waving? Please include their @ name if possible! I just kept seeing women with waves on social media and I wanted to try something new!

What do you like to do in your spare time? No hobby is too big or small! I don’t have a hobby. If I’m not working or modeling I enjoy being outside. Sitting by the lake or taking a walk in the park. [to me], listening to music is very therapeutic.

Did you prepare yourself for this new journey? I was scared that my hair couldn’t wave up or I couldn’t get 360 waves. I watched a lot of videos and spoke with those that did have waves for advice and guidance.

What are some hair products you use to keep those waves right? When I first started, I was using sportin’ waves grease. Then I started SETTING my hair with [LEAVE-IN] conditioner & SAW BETTER results.

I’M currently usING “Somebody Got To See Me” wave grease and it works wonders! BEEN using it for TWO weeks AND ALREADY noticeD the change! My waves look smoother, they set longer, and my hair is moisturized!

What made you decide to start your wave journey? Seeing other black women on social media with waves.

How did it feel when you first started seeing progress? nobody could tell me anything! It motivated me to keep working towards getting 360 waves because [at the time] I only had them in the front.

It’s Wash day! What’s on your playlist? Kevin Gates or Rod Wave!

Did you have any fears or doubts about waving? If so, what were they? Yes I feared that I couldn’t get waves or that it would take forever.

Has waving helped your self-confidence in any way? Waving has made me embrace my head shape and being bald!

Was/Is there anything significant about starting your wave journey? Did it symbolize anything to you?

My wave journey has shown me that consistency is key to success!

Speak to the Wavie who’s starting out on their wave journey. What advice do you have for them? be patient and consistent. It’s important to find the right products and routine for your hair. MAKE SURE YOU know what hair length works for you to get waves.

Just keep brushing and wearing your durag and you’ll get the results that you want!
